Dion & Mountain Olympus Tour is the perfect choice for people who love nature, mythology and history the same.

Mountain Olympus has captivated the imagination of people ever since the ancient times. Looking at the mountain, imposing strong right across Thessaloniki, it immediately makes sense why the ancient Greeks would choose it to be the “Home of the Gods”.

On this Dion & Mountain Olympus Tour we are going to visit the ancient city of Dion, built on the slopes of Olympus. It was the Macedonian’s sacred city, home of some of their most important sanctuaries and altars, and the place where Alexander began his campaign from. Over there we are going to visit both the arhcaeolgical site (or “archaeological park” as it is called because of the lush nature around it) and the museum to admire all the artifacts that were found during the excavations.

Then, we will visit the picturesque town of Litochoro and make a small hike on Enipeas gorge in order to enjoy amazing views of the mountain. Of course, no tour would be complete without lunch at a local spot!
